The interiors of this 400 m2 apartment in Barranquilla focus on luminous contemporary design and Marcela's signature mix of materials. Elements such as brass, marble, and crystal seamlessly blend with other more organic features such as illustrated wallpapers and wood. Carefully selected works add depth and personality to living rooms and bedrooms. Elevator doors with direct entrance to the property are hidden behind wood paneling.
The floors, made with extra-large Calacatta marble tiles, were sanded and carved to make sure ends matched. All walls in the more social area of the home were finished with light wood paneling mounted in a geometric pattern. Dining table and chairs are Baxter, while furniture in the receiving area and the coffee-table are Fendi. Bar area has furniture by Minotti.
